Eligibility and Conditions for membership
Prospective Members of U3A Tamborine Mountain Inc. should be in active retirement
or preparing for retirement.
Apart from the annual membership fee (see Application
Form for fee details) the only costs to students are for shared venue rental and
any course materials.
Associate membership
A fully paid up member of another U3A group may access any Tamborine Mountain U3A courses by paying an associate membership fee.

History of U3A
The university of the 3rd Age began in France in the 1970`s to provide positive stimulation
to people in the 3rd age of their lives by providing programmes of learning.
These
may be academic, cultural or recreational There are, in Australia alone, more than
150 groups. Tutoring is offered by members to other members free of charge.
